Parent Participation

Parent Participation

We welcome and encourage the participation and feedback of FPCNS parents. Parents help us to enrich everyone’s experience at school, and to build a vibrant, inclusive and cooperative community.

There are many opportunities to participate at FPCNS that suit parents’ interests and availability, during the school day or during evening hours. Through participation, parents are able to meet families across all classrooms in our school. By spending time at school, parents are able to see first-hand how our school operates throughout the day, and their children in action! At the same time, children understand the importance of school when they see their parents donating their energy and time at FPCNS.

Opportunities are wide-ranging and evolving every school year. Parents help us to broaden curriculum topics and research. They help us in fundraising efforts that support our scholarship fund, as well as in charity drives. Parents help us host our admissions open houses and school tours. As chaperones, they make it possible for us to go on field trips. Parents share family traditions with their classes, celebrate children’s birthdays, or by spending time in their classrooms to read, cook, bake, play an instrument, etc.
