Early Morning Arrival Program

Parents with children enrolled in FPCNS morning programs are eligible to participate in our Early Morning Arrival program. As a service to families, FPCNS teachers host play sessions each morning before the school day officially begins. Students are escorted to their classrooms when it’s class time. Families may register for Early Morning Arrival a day at a time, by the week, month or for the full semester or year.

Extended Day Enrichment Program

The Nursery School offers students in the Yellow and Blue Rooms an Extended Day Enrichment program on Mondays-Thursdays in the fall, winter, and spring. The EDE extends the student’s day until 4:00pm.

The program provides children with an opportunity to explore special interests and develop new skills in an environment that is familiar and comfortable to them. Students in the Yellow and Blue rooms come together to work on shared activities in a small group setting led by content and early childhood specialists.

The Nursery School offers 12 different enrichment class choices throughout the course of the school year featuring topics such as Chess, Chemistry, Literacy, Math and Yoga.

Early Summer Program

The Nursery School offers a three-week Early Summer program for students in the Red, Yellow and Blue Rooms. This end of year extension program staffed by FPCNS Teachers offers a unique mixed age group experience where the children engage in guided and free choice activities, science, cooking, gardening, and arts and crafts projects as well as rooftop water play. Designed as a supplement to the Nursery School year, the children work with new and old friends while they explore a wide range of interests through an open-ended play based curriculum approach.
